Boats live a hard life. They get scraped against docks, dinged by other boats, scratched by trailer transport, and weathered by sun and water. When the damage gets past cosmetic, you need a shop that can repair fiberglass and gel coat properly.
We do hull and body repair for boats up to most trailerable sizes. Bass boats, fishing boats, ski boats, runabouts, and small cruisers. Bring it in on the trailer and we'll write the estimate.
Hull damage from grounding, dock contact, or trailer mishaps. We grind out damage to clean fiberglass, layer in new fiberglass cloth and resin, fair the surface, and refinish with color-matched gel coat.
Gel coat repair for spider cracks, gouges, and weathering. Properly matched gel coat is the difference between a repair that disappears and one that telegraphs every angle.
Refinishing for boats that have lost color and shine to UV exposure. We can refinish topsides and hulls when polishing alone won't bring the finish back.
Trailer transport damage including front cap, gunwale, and side hits from incidents on the road.
Gel coat isn't paint. It's a polyester resin layer that sits on the surface of the fiberglass and provides both color and protection. A poor repair shows up as discoloration, surface texture differences, or osmotic blistering down the road.
We match your gel coat color, apply it in the right thickness, and finish-sand it to match the surrounding surface. The repair should be invisible from a few feet away.
